    Superb WWII documentary
Without question one of the best WWII war documentaries I’ve watched. Possibly second only to the famous World at War series. Shame the distributor decided to rename it – it’s actually called ‘Price of Empire’ but that’s a trivial matter. The sheer detail of information here and volume of archive material, and the consistently good narration keep your attention. In fact I occasionally have to stop and rewind a bit because there’s so much going on its easy to miss an important detail. I can’t recommend this enough. I’ve watched it twice, and watching the whole series again at the moment.

    Good balanced documentary
Great series with good footage documenting every step in WW 2 on par and if not better than the World at war series.in my opinion. Delivered in good time .

‘WW2: The Price Of Empire’ 3-DVD set
While this terrific Australian 3-DVD series owes much to the UK’s classic 1970’s documentary ‘The World At War’, it has a strong identity of its own, offering alternative emphases and insights to those familiar and favoured in Britain. It also features distinctive graphics and an informative, clearly enunciated narration. The images are very good – the talking heads are in HD and the contemporary footage looks as if it’s been cleaned up. Though television broadcasts of this series feature subtitles, they are absent from this DVD edition – they would have helped capture some of the place names and technical references and should have been included. However, this overview of the war is well-structured and authoritative, represents outstanding value-for-money and fully warrants an upgrade to Blu-ray.

Turely a work of outstanding quality. Every person on the planet should see this, because every person on the plane is in some way effected by what is covered here. It simply took my breath away. First class.
